After finishing the Deshpande Sandbox Fellowship in May 2009, I traveled in Nepal and Northern India until returning to the US in late September.
I then had the opportunity to observe the Presidential Election in Guinea as a Long-Term Observer with The Carter Center.
I am currently pursuing my Masters in City and Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
My interest in planning issues in India have prompted me to take advantage of the India Winterim program offered by the University of Iowa on Eco-Sensitive, Low-Cost Housing. While I traveled extensively in my former home, Karnataka, and later in other parts of India, Kerala was one of those places I meant to see and regretted missing. No longer!
